it is exactly 8:00 p.m. as i am writing the very first post in our taiwan trip blog. i have just arrived home from the school holiday concert, but kari is still there because of band. (haha!)
excitement is mounting on both ends- we both cannot believe this is really happening! it's been a dream since middle school. and since we are also spectacular procrastinators, our luggage is not yet packed. my luggage will be filled with mostly things for my family aka. mounds of vitamins, candy, and peanuts. please don't ask.
unfortunately i have a deutsch vocabulary project and some calculus to finish. this concludes the end of the first post. the next time.. we'll be in taiwan :)

Here's an update for all of Kari and Stephanie's friends from Kari's Mom. I talked to Kari this morning, and they have not been able to access a computer yet, but are in search of an internet cafe. Later in the week they will hopefully have more ready access to the internet. Kari says that she's been doing some terrific sightseeing, and eating foods that she's never eaten before, like squid and guava. Hopefully they will be able to add to the blog soon.
